The recently appointed Head of Internal Communications chose to work with Cchange to create an effective communications plan for all segments of the business at a time of uncertainty and low morale. The business had announced it was looking for a buyer but in the absence of any acceptable offers, the decision had been made to remain independent.

Research was undertaken across all levels of employees throughout the UK stores network and Head Office, resulting in the review of processes including induction, training, appraisals and recognition. 

A shift in behaviour was required to get the business back on track so the communciation plan was focussed on living the values by engaging and motivating employees. Implementation of the action plans began in November 2001 and had an immediate and positive effect.

The following year Alldays became part of the Co-operative Group.
