Change Communications Manager working on engagement and integration activities during a time when the executive team and business structure was in a state of flux and Egg was bought and sold:
- communications lead for integration of Egg & Pru HR/IT systems
- specific responsibility for communicating the impact of seven HR transformation workstreams
- building a close working relationship with all department heads at the Egg contact centre in Derby (1,200 employees) to establish, test and deliver new messaging, training and systems
- launch campaigns for new products
Following these projects, a senior consultant was invited back as interim Head of Internal Communications with responsibility to:
- provide direction, coaching and development to team of six
- manage budget of £750K plus ongoing cost challenges as well as the relationship, costs and deliverables from third parties, including the Capita relationship with Operations teams
- manage the business case, audit phase and executive updates for the intranet development project
- work with HR director and senior leadership to plan, position, launch and follow up a new employee engagement survey
- play an active part in the communications leadership team with colleagues from PR, Marketing, Brand and Group Communications to ensure a consistent approach to messages, tone and style
Achievements
- team members received six recognition awards from senior stakeholders for demonstrating the values: achieve, connect and inspire
- reshaped the IC team to provide more relevant support to a restructured business with measurable improvements in employee understanding of business-wide goals
- worked with Retail and Operations Director on proposal and recommendations for overhaul of the TCF/customer programme and roll-out of the Vision and Brand values to the Retail population
- designed and delivered new format for leadership events for top 50 and top 180 leaders
